Garland has many older and newer neighborhoods to suit needs of all families.  The Fire Wheel Mall is the newest area on the northern edge of Garland.  Many fine stores have made a place there; Macy's, Dillards, Ann Taylor Loft, Aeropostale, AMC, Barnes & Noble, and Brighton are just to name a few.

Garland schools teach more than 58,000 students at 71 campuses and boasts that they are the most chooser friendly for the students.  There are many magnet programs and specialized courses.   The Gifted and Talented program goes all the way down into the elementary levels.

This suburb 15 miles from Dallas now has many things to do.  There are The Center for Performing Arts, The Plaza Theatre, JR Ewing's home from the popular "Dallas" TV show, many lovely golf courses and Hawaiian Falls Water Park for families.
